Player Development Program
Mob FC is an extension of our SoccerRoos program.
*Why Mob? A group of kangaroos is called a mob...and it's a pretty cool name for a soccer club.
Our main goal is player development. We are looking to develop confident, fearless players in a fun atmosphere. We want our players to play with a risk taking, attacking stye.
Mob FC may be used as a supplement for players currently on travel or premier teams. Many of our current and former players have had tremendous success with High School, College, Premier, and Select teams. Some former players have also come back to coach in our SoccerRoos program to help develop and motivate the next generation of soccer stars.
Mob Soccer Player Development and Competition Program
This is an opportunity for the top players from SoccerRoos (or other town programs) to train 2x per week and play in local and regional competitions.
The training and coaching is led by Lew Potter. Lew is the Program of Director of Soccer Roos and has years of successful experience at all age and competition levels including College, HS, Premier, and ODP (Olympic Development Program). Two time AMCC Coach of the Year (college), 4 State Cup Championships and 1 National Championship (club soccer). NSCAA Premier Diploma, National Youth Diploma, GK level 1 Diploma.
**Indoor Training with PMT Director Jason Collinsworth and PMT staff**
This winter our teams will be training with Jason on a weekly basis at PMT. We are excited to add this high level technical training for our players. Jason is one of the best and most established coach/trainers in our region.
The main goal of our club is player development. We want to develop the technical skill, tactical awareness of each player, and provide an atmosphere where players love of the game will flourish. No fear of failure in our sessions or in games. Risk taking and dare to be great. We want to develop leaders that can overcome challenges and support each other as teammates.
We take training and games seriously, but at the end of the day, we also understand that they are kids and that it's a game. Obviously, missing multiple training sessions will deter from a player's progress, but we do not punish players for missing events. We understand families have lives outside of soccer, other sports, siblings commitments, etc. We just ask that families communicate conflicts, with as much notice as possible, so we can plan training sessions and rosters for competitions.
Commitment:
U8-U10 have 2 training sessions per week indoors and 1-2 training sessions outdoors, depending on game schedule
U11-U12B (Tournament Teams) have 1-2 Training Session per week
Games, tournament and festival games vary, usually on weekends
Budgets will vary upon frequency of training and number of competitions
*We may allow training only players depending on our numbers and level of the player
